Rapper Yung Miami (Caresha Brownlee) has publicly defended music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs ahead of his October 3, 2025 sentencing. In a heartfelt character letter to Judge Arun Subramanian, she described Combs as “loving, genuine, supportive, and always encouraging,” making it clear that her words stem from her personal experience with him.

While stressing that she does not condone his alleged actions, Yung Miami highlighted the positive influence Combs had on her personal and professional growth. She recalled their appearance at the 2023 Met Gala as an example of his efforts to elevate Black voices in spaces where they have historically been excluded.
She also emphasized that she does not view him as a threat to the community, pointing to his therapy, anger management, charitable work, and role as a father. Miami argued that his children need him and that his presence is essential to their lives.

Her letter is one of many from Combs’ family, friends, and industry colleagues urging the court for leniency. Diddy’s legal team is seeking a sentence of 14 months—roughly the time he has already served.
His official sentencing is scheduled for October 3, 2025.
